From Handouts to Transformational Relationships: Building a Better Benevolence Ministry

Local churches often struggle to develop and implement an effective benevolence ministry. Helping individuals and families move from crisis to lasting change can feel overwhelming and complicated. This workshop presents a biblical framework for moving beyond transactional aid toward relationship-based, transformational care. Participants will explore five key elements of a sustainable benevolence ministry: defining mission and policy, creating a welcoming intake process, developing action plans, recruiting and training volunteers, and building effective church and community partnerships for wraparound support.
