Disciple Your Congregation for All of Life

Dr. Daniel Doriani, Covenant Seminary and Center for Faith and Work, St. Louis

The men and women in our congregations spend more than 70% of their waking hours in the office, shop, or home. They know those places should be used for evangelistic opportunities and to earn money to provide for the family and kingdom work. But there is more. What they do every day is important to God. All honest work is also God’s work if it provides food, clothing, shelter, education, medical care, and more. This seminar will highlight the reformed view of work and provide Ruling and Teaching Elders with ways to disciple their congregations for all of life. That includes a grasp of the dignity and purpose of work as well as ways they may change their corner of the world through work (while making it a part of the church’s ongoing discipleship ministries).
