Fellows Programs: Intentionally Developing Young Lay Leaders in Your Church

John W. Kyle, McLean Presbyterian Church / The Fellows Initiative, and panel

We have an important opportunity to connect (or reconnect) with the emerging generation of lay leaders for the local church, workplace, and world. In this panel discussion, we will explore ways that Fellows programs have been doing just that in PCA churches. A Fellows program is an intensely practical, head+heart+hands, 9-10 month spiritual and vocational leadership program that prepares recent college graduates to live seamless lives of faith in Christ. In this session, you will hear from program leaders and alumni. This ministry model has proven itself as part of a comprehensive strategy to engage and retain young leaders in the church.

As we witness the challenge facing our brothers and sisters, how should we respond? We have a responsibility to be a voice for the voiceless, to care for the vulnerable, and to tell their stories of faith.

Through the lens of the persecuted church’s experience in China, this seminar will explore a theology of advocacy and will include practical ways that you and your churches can join an alliance of global advocates.
