Middling in the PCA: How to Navigate Theological Homelessness
Dr. Nathan T. Parker, Faith Presbyterian Church
Fifty years in, the PCA is a God-honoring, theologically conservative denomination. However, we are increasingly polarized into two camps. The extremes could be described as those who do not care what the world thinks about us and those who care a bit too much. Many in our denomination feel closer to one or the other camp, but do not feel at home in either. This seminar will address the tension and propose a way forward for those “middlers” who feel theologically homeless within the PCA. This seminar will include a good-spirited “reconnaissance report” from the speaker’s visits to conferences hosted by both sides: Beautiful Orthodoxy and Gospel Reformation Network.
