Nurturing Trust: Pastoral & Sessional Impact Through Authenticity

I have listened intently as pastor after pastor have uttered the words, “I do not feel safe with my own Session.” What is behind the mistrust and unsafe culture? What is it that drives church leaders away from authentic, vulnerable fellowship? This seminar will address those very questions and hopefully propel leaders into real community. I Peter 5:3 reads, “Don’t shepherd by ruling over those entrusted to your care but become examples to the flock.” We, Ruling and Teaching Elders, should be an example to the flock. To move into a culture of authentic vulnerability, we need to examine the obstacles along with the salve of the gospel for it is as true today, as it was on the day of our salvation.
