Presbytery Diaconal Connectionalism

Benjamin Schultz, Presbytery of Central Florida

Connectionalism is one of the most fundamental elements of being Presbyterian. PCA Teaching Elders and Ruling Elders benefit greatly by learning from one another, encouraging each other, and spending time together. Our congregations, presbyteries, and denomination are all improved by this sense of community and shared culture. So too, our Deacons would benefit greatly by being equipped with, supported by, and connected to Deacons from other churches within their Presbytery, thus improving Diaconal ministry in our churches and communities. This seminar will present ideas, experiences, and lessons learned on how to bring connectionalism to Diaconal ministry at the Presbytery level.
