Resetting the Foundations of Moral Reasoning
Scott Hatch, Christ Presbyterian Church – Burke VA
Many of the controversies of our day are marked by moral outrage, but we lack a shared foundation for actual moral reasoning. Even within our churches, we have questions about how to integrate ethics with other aspects of the Christian life in a way that is holistic and not merely an academic exercise. Some put hope in natural law, but there are more biblical approaches that can be drawn upon as well. This seminar will explore what is needed in thinking through how to recover a moral philosophy that is holistic, integrated, and consistent with a biblical Christian worldview.
