Rethinking Session Communication

Many Sessions regularly receive criticism about their communication with the Congregation. Much of this critique is received as commentary on the wisdom of the Session’s decisions. This serves to provoke defensiveness in the Session and an aversion to further communication, leading to increased distrust and a breakdown in the relationship. How can this unhelpful cycle be changed? One way it can change is to completely rethink Session communication.
