The Office of Deacon is frequently misunderstood, underutilized, and unfortunately misused in the life of the church. The office is a gift from Christ and to make the most of the deacon we need to understand The Whole Deacon. The seminar hopes to communicate frequent misunderstands of purpose of the office of Deacon, the proper place and role of a deacon, pitfalls for deacons to be on guard for, and how the Elders and Deacons can work together as co-labors in the service of Christ for the Communion of Saints.
